The ongoing rainfall in various parts of the country including Dhaka may continue for the next few days, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department. Due to the influence of the active monsoon, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain with gusty winds in most parts of the country including the capital and in some places very heavy rain.
According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain or thundershowers in almost all divisions of the country on Monday. Especially, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in various places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. During this time, the day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
The trend of rain may continue in various parts of the country in the next 24 hours. Rain or thundershowers with gusty winds have been predicted in most areas of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and in many places of Barisal and Chittagong divisions. Moderate to very heavy rain may also occur in some places.
Although the intensity of the rain will decrease slightly on Tuesday, it may rain in many areas of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and some places in other divisions of the country. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some areas of the northern region. The temperature may increase slightly today.
Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely in all divisions of the country on Wednesday. Moderate heavy rain may occur in some places.
Rain may continue in many areas of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and some places in other divisions of the country on Thursday. There is a possibility of heavy rain especially in some areas of the southern region.
The Meteorological Department has said that the trend of rainfall may continue in the country for the next five days. Therefore, people living in waterlogging, weak infrastructure and low-lying areas have been advised to take necessary precautions.
