Popular Bangladeshi actress and model Tanjin Tisha has been served with a legal notice by a female entrepreneur named Jhilik, accusing her of breach of agreement and deception. The notice alleges that Tisha failed to fulfill a promised promotional photoshoot, causing financial losses to the complainant.
The legal notice was formally sent to the actress on Wednesday, October 22.
Details of the Allegation
According to the notice, Tanjin Tisha received a saree worth 28,800 BDT from Jhilik’s online store as part of a promotional deal. She had agreed to wear the saree and promote the page through her verified Instagram account, but allegedly failed to do so even after ten months.
The entrepreneur further claimed that Tisha repeatedly assured communication but later stopped responding, forcing her to take legal action.
Demand Stated in the Notice
The legal notice demands that within seven days of receipt, Tisha must:
Refund the saree’s cost and pay 100,000 BDT as compensation
Issue a public apology
Failure to comply will lead to a criminal case under sections of the Penal Code for fraud and breach of trust, the notice warns.
Tanjin Tisha’s Response
As the matter went viral on social media, Tisha responded on her verified Facebook profile, writing:
“Took a gift, and suddenly I’m a fraud?”
However, the post has sparked controversy, with many criticizing her remarks as disrespectful and unprofessional.
