A mourning meeting and doa mahfil were held in memory of the late M. K. Momin, Managing Editor of Daily Giridarpan, on Saturday (20 December) at 4:00 pm at Asian SR Hotel in the city.
The meeting was presided over by M. Ali Hossain, President of the Chattogram Editors’ Club and Editor of the weekly Purba Bangla. The event was organized by friends and well-wishers of the late M. K. Momin, and the entire program was conducted by Farhad Amin Faisal, Editor of Sangbad Darpan and Earthnews24.
The program began with recitation from the Holy Qur’an. A welcome speech was delivered by Ziauddin M. Enayet Ullah, Editor and Publisher of Daily Naya Bangla.

The doa and munajat were conducted by Maulana Mahmudul Haque Anshari, Special Correspondent of Daily Gonotondontro.
Speakers at the meeting said that the late M. K. Momin was a fearless, courageous, and honest journalist who never compromised in publishing the truth. He was also a skilled organizer. Throughout his career, he served with dedication in various national and local media outlets, including Notun Bangladesh, Samannay News, Weekly Bonobhumi, Naya Bangla, and lastly Daily Giridarpan.
